Our good friend, George, found himself date-less for his unit's Birthday Ball so he asked me to ask Brent if he could take me. Our friend Lindsay, also married, was going with Dave (not her husband) so he figured why not also ask a hot married friend (that would be me, ha ha) to be his date. Ok, maybe not so much the hot part, but he knows I am a good time and an old pro when it comes to these things. And yes, he was fully aware of my hotel bathroom antics after Brent's ball before he asked me. Needless to say, Lindsay and I got some funny looks from people that noticed our wedding rings, but knew Dave and George from work and that we were not their wives. Oh well, I am already the cul de sac floozie, might as well be one to all of CLR 2 (George's unit)!

The night was a lot of fun. There were a few hang ups though- mine and George's names were not on the seating chart, therefore we did not have seats for dinner. We just waited around until a couple people didn't show up and sat in their seats. Just call me PFC Mitchell... One of the girls at our table went on for five minutes about how she was late because she "just couldn't throw her hair up in a pony tail for the ball"... ummmm, she apparently did not see how Amanda and I fashioned my hair for the big event- in a very neat, and dressed up- pony tail. Ha ha. Then the Regimental Commander made us all go up and do the electric slide- Yes Sir! So I got up there, had no idea what I was doing, and as soon as I saw he wasn't looking I ducked off the dance floor. Phew! Thanks but no thanks, I'll pass on the electric slide- or any organized dance for that matter.

After the ball, we changed and met Brent and the rest of our friends at City Limits, a country bar in Wilmington. We all got our dance on (even Brent!), Travis and Joey upstaged some guy doing karaoke, and my date rode the mechanical bull. I was so proud.
