The Rider Family Bed and Breakfast

Wow, what a busy spring it has been. I apologize for not having updated the blog sooner. Man are we lucky we got this house though, and now have enough room for all our visitors. With Brent's strict work schedule and being so far away from friends and family, we don't get to see everyone as often as we would like. So we were fortunate that in the past couple of months our family has come to us!

First to visit were Brent's brother Nate, his wife Maria, and their kids Cameron and Molly. Then only a couple weeks later, we joined my family in Myrtle Beach (see other blog post). While I was still in Myrtle, Brent came back to the house to meet his mom, his sister Abbie, and her three kids Madison, Mackenzie, and Drew. That crew left on a Thursday and then my family rolled in that Friday making our house a stop on their long drive home from Myrtle.

I'd say we should start charging by the night, but I don't want to discourage anyone else from visiting. Ha Ha. Only kidding! If we like you, you get to stay for free.

We were so glad everyone came! It was fun showing them what our life is like in North Carolina, taking them on base, and of course to the beach. The visits seemed too short, as they always do, and we hope everyone will come again.

Now the pictures I have from when my parents, Johnny, and Conor came may look like Brent put was putting them through a mini boot camp... but really it was all part of their dart game. For every time any one of them missed the dart board and hit the garage wall, they had to do 10 push ups. And let me tell you, Johnny and Conor did a lot of push ups! We were all quite amazed actually, Johnny had surprisingly good form and both he and Conor did every single one without complaining. And then there's the fam trying on Brent's flack and Kevlar, which is always good for a laugh.

Johnny's arms got tired, so we switched to sit ups

Sorry Conor, but I don't think Hawaiian print shorts are within uniform regulations

Debster, what's so funny?
