Little did I know, I was also scheduled for an ultrasound on the 13th. So I jumped on the chance to find out as soon as I could and Brent and I were told very matter-of-factly on the 13th, not the 16th, it is a BOY! To quote the technician performing my ultrasound, "My goodness- it certainly is a boy!" And, "Oh yeah, there it is, it's definitely a boy." Ha ha ha! Guess I don't have to worry about decorating and planning for a boy then having it come out a girl now do I? We have narrowed it down to a few names that we like, now we just need to decide on one. That will of course be another blog, so stay tuned.
Since everyone is bugging me for baby bump pictures, here it is. Figured I'd kill two birds with one stone in this post- announce the sex, show off the belly. On the 16th I will officially be at the half-way point: 20 weeks. So far I have gained 7 pounds. And yes I am fully aware that this is the calm before the storm- I am expecting to start gaining and showing at a rapid rate any day now. But until then I'll take still being able to wear all my regular jeans and pants!
And because I am obsessed with all shoes, sneakers in particular, I couldn't resist my very first purchase for the little guy being a pair of sneakers. How cute are these? OK, so I may have also grabbed a of couple things at the Baby Gap... what can I say? I had been waiting for this news for so long!
Brent and I are both very excited for a little boy and I will continue to update both mine and baby's progress as this journey they call pregnancy continues. Thanks in advance for all the congratulations and well wishes! We appreciate them all!

We are so excited for little Guy Rider! Thanks for calling- what exciting news!!! I totally didn't see that coming!
Dear Margaret and Brent,
Awww, congratulations on your baby boy! It's hard to believe that our little Margaret is all grown up and pregnant. Just remember that when baby boy grows up and wants a TV in his room you will buy it for him and not be as mean as your mom and dad were to you. By the way, love the sneaks, ha, ha, ha.
Love ya,
Margie, Tony, kids & beagles
If your little guy is anything like his cousin, you'll be hearing "Oh Boy" a lot. Just remember for some reason we always call Drew "Brent" by accident:) Good luck!!! We can't wait for him to get here.
Margaret,
I'm so happy about your news of having a boy. You will be a pro at raising him after all that practice of raising three younger brothers! Much love, Gram Chase
The Hammond's vote is Chase. Glad you're having a boy as it should be no problem raising a fourth son.
