My brother TJ has officially turned 21. I know, a very scary thought. I also know a certain bartender at home that will be very disappointed to find out this news and that I lied to him last year when TJ came out with us for a drink.Just to fill everyone in, we often accuse TJ of being the dumb blonde in the family, (as well as the mailman's son since his hair is lighter than everyone else's in my family- but that is neither here nor there. KIDDING MOM!) So after a blonde moment or two to finish up his school year- TJ was headed down to the NC to visit.
Of course I had to take him out in style, it was a pretty big birthday to be celebrating. There was one slight problem that threw a little wrench into his celebration, not mine, just his- he seemed to have been going through menopause that very same weekend. Hmmm, weird. He kept whining about having hot flashes, and like the supportive big sister that I am- I told him to be quiet and drink his beer.
Friday night we went down to Wilmington for dinner then out downtown so TJ could officially celebrate legally. I am proud to say, while under my supervision- TJ was kicked out of his very first bar. Like I said before... being the supportive big sister that I am. Saturday was spent at the beach, and Saturday night I hosted a party at my house- complete with beer pong, flip cup, and Texas horseshoes. For the record, TJ and I were crowned the undefeated champions of Texas horseshoes- as it should be. I am glad TJ came down and I hope he enjoyed his birthday. If nothing else, at least there were no pizza boxes lit on fire this trip.
TJ- you are welcome here any time, just leave the hot flashes at home next time.

Sharing a drink with the boys at dinner, awwww how cute
