Boogie Down

My cousin Maureen and her boyfriend Mark drove all the way down from NY with their dog Ellie to visit and stay for the weekend. The idea originally came about because there were some grad schools in North Carolina that Maureen was looking at. But she decided to scrap the school visits and spend all her time with me- yay! That's my girl, I have taught her well- higher education is so overrated. Kidding! (she has just decided to look in NY instead) We had a great time boogie boarding at the beach, drinking and playing games, and just hanging out in general. We also went bowling, putting a few wagers on the games. And let's just say Maureen and I were the losers (no surprise there) which meant she had to eat three baby carrots and I had to drink a whole glass of plain water. I know neither of those things sound like punishment to anyone else, but for Maureen and I it was unfathomable. Ultimately, I drank about a quarter of a glass and Maureen took one bite of the carrot and had to spit it in the garbage. And just for the record, the whole wagers thing was Maureen's idea to begin with. Here are some pictures from their visit and I want to thank them both for making the long trip down to see us. It is always nice to have some familiar faces around.
