Record Breaker

Well, my family has a tradition of celebrating more than one Christmas for our family members that live out of town, but this year I think we set a record even for us. There were 3, that's right, 3 Hannan Christmas' this year. On top of the 3 Christmas' there were two very cold, polar bear-esque dips in the river. Yes, we have been experiencing a mild winter this year... but trust me, it wasn't that mild. It just happened to snow for the first time while I was home on the day that I was scheduled to take the big plunge. Perfect.

The first dip in the river was to prove everyone wrong that said we wouldn't do it, to show up a few of the cousins that chickened out, and for my cousin MK's boyfriend Robbie to experience a little Hannan family rite of passage. The second dip involved a canoe, a pretty mean trick, and my cousin Maureen literally swimming for her present. Which by the way, ended up being an empty Tiffany's box. Very, very mean. I was not able to witness the canoe act first hand, but am very proud of Maureen just the same. 3 Hannan Christmas' and 7 dips in the river is going to be pretty tough to beat.

And if you are wondering about that first picture, that would be Johnny inside Lexi and Bauer's crate.

Okay 1. My lord- 'the river' looks and is freezing. Global warming my butt... it's still cold. I don't know how you did it!

2. Why was johnny put into the crate? Did he miss the puppy pad?

3. Three Christmas'... Jesus was only born once! Ha.
