Just Me and David Hasselhoff

Well I decided since we moved that it was time for a fresh start, so I wanted to inform everyone that I have changed my occupation*. Not that it is a move up the corporate ladder or anything, this job stills pays next to nothing as well. So I am no longer a Stay At Home Marge, but now a Baywatch Babe. I know- sounds horrible, but I figure it is only temporary and soon I will have moved on to something better.

There is a beach on base so the commute isn't too bad, only 10 minutes or so. Then once I get there, the beach is divided into the Enlisted Beach, and the Officer's Beach. So I head over to the Officer's Beach and share my "office" with maybe 5 other people. I have been getting quite the tan, or as tan as you can get being freckled and Irish. It's not as easy as you might think so I have included a day in the life of a Baywatch Babe (minus actually saving people that are drowning):

12:30- arrive at beach, set up chair, towel, and cooler
12:30-1:00- recline in chair listening to ipod
1:00-1:30- lunch (sandwich and drink from cooler)
1:30-2:00- lay on stomach on towel to tan back side
2:00-2:20- cool off with a dip in the ocean, always watching for sharks of course
2:20-3:00- sit in chair reading book
3:00-3:30- recline in chair listening to ipod
3:30- head home

Talk about giving Yasmine Bleeth a run for her money, right? Don't worry about the puppies being home alone, I take them to Doggie Day Care and they absolutely love it there. A couple of weeks ago Carolyn, one of the Stafford Wives, came to visit so I brought her to the beach with me and she took these pictures. At my job it is "Bring Your Friend to Work Day" everyday. How great is that? Being a Baywatch Babe (sigh), it's a tough job- but somebody's got to do it.

*Please note- this is only a joke, I do not really consider this my job... Baywatch would never hire me

Some people stand in the darkness
Afraid to step into the light
Some people need to help somebody
When the edge of surrender's in sight..

Don't you worry!
Its gonna be alright
'cause I'm always ready,
I won't let you out of my sight.

I'll be ready (I'll be ready)
Never you fear (no don't you fear)
I'll be ready
Forever and always
I'm always there.

Marge, I commend you on taking on such a tough job. Those hours are horrendous and I just don't know how you deal with the physical difficulty of your job requirements. Keep up the good work!

I don't know how you do it. You take care of the kids and work all day in the office. Keep workin' hard and don't forget to take some time for yourself every once in awhile!!!
