Birthday Ball

The birthday of the Marine Corps is November 10th, so around that date every year they celebrate their birthday with a Birthday Ball. The oldest Marine and the youngest Marine at TBS were given the first pieces of cake as part of the tradition. It was fun to get all dressed up- and like I need an excuse to go shopping for anything, much less a ball gown. There were about 1500 Marines there and all the guys looked very handsome in their dress blues. I think my favorite part of the night was looking around the room during the ceremony when the Marines had to stand at attention- seeing them all in their blues, so formal and so precise. It was cool, and a nice opportunity to see a different side of the Marine Corps.

Celebrating the birthday the best way we know how, with a few Bud Lights.

Carolyn, Jody, Sommer, Casey, and Me

Having fun like whoa!
